Licenses represent a player's ability to take contracts from various organisations. Licenses are often purchased in the Commerce Screen, although they can be awarded for completing odd jobs. Each one begins as a rudimentary license that only allows the player to accept few low-paying jobs, but as the player successfully completes contracts with an employer, the employer will trust the them with better contracts. If the player fails a contract, their license will be revoked, and they if they regain it, they will have to start again at moving up the ranks of the contract system.

Notes

  • Although most of Objects in Space uses British English, the term 'license' used as a noun is American English. In British English, 'licence' is the noun and 'license' is only a verb.
